Don’t let her calm demeanor fool you: For Francesca, sitting still has never been an option. Whether she’s roaming foreign countries with her camera, learning new moves in a hip-hop class, testing all the brunch spots in town or dancing the night away in a techno club, Francesca is always on the move. Growing up in a sleepy little town in Ticino, where there wasn’t much to do except to draw for hours on end, she soon wanted to get out into the world. She looked for a hands-on creative industry and trained as a visual merchandiser. But soon she started missing the 2D world and found her way back to (virtual) paper. Her bachelor’s degree in visual communications was followed by German courses in Berlin and then: Zurich and the agency life. Any breaks in between? Not really. She’s "calmer now" now, Francesca assures us, but she used to consider a weekend wasted if it didn’t include at least one trip away. We ask her where she’s planning to go next, half-expecting her to pull out a list. But Francesca is good at exceeding expectations: "Everywhere," she says instead.
