Some people follow maps - Vera follows her instincts, trusting the detours along the way. She was creative from a young age, picked up the cello at seven - and a love of fashion not long after. After high school, she moved to London. Just for a gap year, she thought, but the city had other plans. Vera fell in love with its creative energy, planned to study fashion, but ended up in the world of graphic design instead. During her studies, she spent her days getting her hands dirty in print studios (her happy place) and her evenings waiting tables to pay the rent. One year turned into seven.
Eventually, she returned to Switzerland and worked in agencies and as a freelancer, before deciding she wasn't done studying. She did a Masters in Visual Communication and Iconic Research - and reunited with her beloved print workshops. Today, she brings it all together: the precision of a cellist, the patience of a seasoned service worker, and the sensitivity of a designer who understands visual communication in a broader context. And when she’s not working? She’s in her basement at her printing press, making things by hand – just the way she likes it.
