RONAL GROUP
Digital Workouts for the RONAL GROUP
To some companies, getting digital is what getting fit is to us: we know it’s necessary, good for us, and worth it in the long run, but man, can it be exhausting! So when the RONAL GROUP asked us to support their process with an awareness campaign, the fitness lingo came to mind immediately.
The "Fit 4 Digital" campaign was implemented in stages over several months. We started out with two motifs on posters that were displayed at RONAL locations worldwide. The posters were illustrated by Patrick Oberholzer and reminded employees to handle digital data carefully. Meet Robbie Ropes and Wendy Weights (sorry for the alliterations, we think they’re catchy):
In the second stage, Wendy and Robbie were brought to life. Working closely with Bandara, the swiss AR and VR experts, the illustrations became 3D models and the awareness campaign became something of an interactive "Digital Movement".
Wendy and Robbie were promoted to digital coaches, ready to engage employees in an interactive campaign. The participants were asked to either document digital progress in the company or raise awareness for situations that could do with some digital improvement. The photos and videos were to be uploaded to the company's intranet. The whole thing was set up as a competition with digital devices as prizes.
Augmented reality is hard to explain in a boardroom. That's why we drew attention to the upcoming campaign with a short teaser video, we animated a video for the launch, and designed flyers with QR codes for the application.
