We don’t know how to sum up Rainer’s life in a few lines. But we don’t have to. His experience is immediately apparent. When he was 19, he came across a brochure about the grim reality of advertising. Rainer was hooked. He studied design in Würzburg and launched his career. To name but a few: He was creative director at international agencies, design director at the World Expo and director of brand strategy at the Peter Schmidt Group. Until he tired of the 80-hour weeks and went freelance as a brand consultant. Not that things ever really slowed down: he worked in Paris, Tokyo and New York, taught at Frankfurt's European School of Design for 12 years, and occasionally unwound at his holiday home in Thailand. Oh, and he also played half a dozen different sports in his spare time. Rainer’s secret? Concentration. He can go from zero to one hundred with anything he sets his mind to. At work, yes, but also when he’s switching off afterwards. "You have to know how to relax sometimes," says Rainer. And we just pretend to believe him.
