HOLCIM SCHWEIZ

A new brand for the giant of building materials

On its way to becoming the market leader for sustainable solutions in construction, the Holcim Group initiated a rebranding process last year.  We had the privilege of supporting Holcim Switzerland in implementing the new brand for the Swiss market. From the online store holcimpartner.ch to the goodie bag for the launch, we were able to rebrand the entire range of assets for the company. A mammoth task in blue and green.

The world in a gradient

The new imagery is characterized by the bright green and blue tones of the logo. We adapted the visual language to Switzerland in close collaboration with Tekyeli Imagery and took care of image selection and editing for Holcim Switzerland.

The new look on the web

The digital side of the task was considerable. We implemented the new branding for holcimpartner.ch including the online store, optimizing the UI and UX design. In addition to new graphics and icons, this meant restructuring the content and navigation and creating new modules.

The big task list

But we didn't get bored with print either. In this case, we created new templates for product brochures, price lists and factsheets, redesigned graphic elements such as tables and info boxes, drew maps and edited images. Sounds like a lot? Wait, there's more to come.

Of people and presents

You can't really reposition a giant company without the people in it pulling in the same direction. For us, launch communication measures are part and parcel of a rebranding. We started with a personal video in which Holcim employees share what the new positioning and the brand mean to them.

And then came the goodies. We designed a chocolate bar (we tend to blindly trust the Taucherli expertise when it comes to sweets), a box of Jass cards, feedback boxes, a tote bag, Kägi-Frets packaging and customer gifts. So many assets underwent the beautiful blue and green rebranding at the same time, that we had to stare hard at an orange in between to balance it all out. But now (most of it) is done and we can finally enjoy the sight of the new Holcim Switzerland, just like the employees and customers do.
