A Tale of Old Reveries and New Premises
If the year 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that a few months can change just about everything. We have moved into a new office, redesigned our brand and launched a new website.

If the year 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that a few months can change just about everything. We have moved into a new office, redesigned our brand and launched a new website.
Oh, and then there was that thing with the pandemic...
There is a whole host of phrases people fall back on when they announce a rebranding effort: “The brand is new and improved”, for instance. Or, “the website sports a fresh new look.” Today, however, we’re announcing ourselves. And none of those phrases seem sufficient to convey what’s been going on in the last few months. But let’s start from the top.
Welcome to the heart of the city
While this spring pulled the rug out from under everyone, we chose to deliberately give up our metaphorical rug. Meaning: We left our beloved corner office on St. Jakobstrasse to embark on a new adventure instead. A five-storey-high, four-kitchen-big, slightly aged, incredibly charming adventure in the middle of Zurich. In a nutshell: We’ve moved.
Sergeant’s new home is a big green house on Lagerstrasse 121, at the intersection to Langstrasse. We’ve got the iconic Olé Olé Bar on our right and one of Zurich’s busiest corners on our doorstep. And we love it here. We love our new walls, painted in the most beautiful colors we know; our many balconies, front-row seats for the hustle and bustle of the city below – and our courtyard, whose picturesque pergola alone would have probably justified the move.
From home office to office home
It’s not that we don’t like remote working, but it’s something else entirely to see each other in full resolution again. And yet, the weeks spent at home involuntarily have taught us a thing or two. Like that we’re a close-knit team that works well together, even over long distances. Or that we like having people around.
That’s why our new home is exactly what we have long been looking for. A place for like-minded people to work on their projects alongside us. We get to exchange ideas with them, get inspired by them and talk their ears off about our favourite series over lunch. A dream come true.
The same at heart
Granted, we set ourselves some pretty ambitious goals during an already very demanding time. But in our defence, our rebranding has been a dream for way longer than the new office. And honestly, what’s another step away from the comfort zone if you’ve long since lost sight of it? So today, our brand is new and improved, our website is sporting a new look and we’re writing these lines from our new premises.
But for all the things that have changed recently, there are just as many that have stayed the same. Our team, for instance, our dedication, our alarmingly high coffee consumption. No matter how many floors we are scattered over now, no matter what our website looks like: We are and remain your Sergeants.
